Conditions of Entry

1) Entries are limited to small prints (PSA Class B) which will not exceed 8½ x12 inches including mounting. The long side of each mounted photograph must not exceed 12 inches. Minimum print size is 5x7 inches. There will be two Sections: Color and Monochrome.

2) A Monochrome print is defined as having no more than two colors: monochrome plus one other color. Hand-colored prints are included with and considered part of the Color print section. Separate judging, listing, or hanging of hand-colored material is not permitted.

3) A maximum of four prints may be entered in Monochrome and a maximum of four prints may be entered in Color. A separate entry form is required for each section entered. Separate entry fees are required for each section.

4) This exhibition is open to anyone, however an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules or conditions. Accepted entries are eligible for “Who’s Who” and “Star Ratings” in their respective PSA divisions.

5)     The original image must be made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired with a digital camera. All images must be original and may not incorporate elements produced by another person. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or in media related to the exhibition. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright by the entrant. Any modification of the original image must be made by the entrant. All final work must be on photographic paper or electronic print material (mounting excepted).

6) Entry Fees:
    Prints Returned (U.S. Dollars):
       
North America, $10.00 for each entry.
        All others, $15.00 for each entry.
    Prints NOT Returned (and destroyed at the end of the Exhibition):
       
$6.00 for each entry.
Each entry must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee and completed entry form.

7) Foreign entries, including Canada, must send USA funds. (CASH, or a check made payable to “PSA Cascade Chapter” drawn on a U.S. bank.) ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE FEE WILL NOT BE JUDGED NOR RETURNED UNTIL SUCH FEE IS RECEIVED. Foreign checks, including Canada, add $5.00 for collection fee.

8) Care will be taken to protect all entries, however, responsibility is not assumed for loss or damage.
 

9) Permission to copy images for promotional uses is assumed unless otherwise stated.
 

10)   Photographs must NOT be rolled.

 

11)    Mark packages as “PRINTED MATTER, PHOTOGRAPHS FOR EXHIBITION, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE.”

12)   The record keeping of this exhibition is computerized. All entries must be limited to 35 characters, including spaces. Titles longer than 35 characters will be truncated in both our records and our catalog.

13) An entrant’s four images will distributed throughout four rounds of judging.

14) Prints may be mounted or unmounted, but foreign entries must be submitted unmounted. No name on the front of the print is permitted. All prints must be identified on the back with maker’s name, title and number to conform to the entry form.

A PSA Gold “Best of Show” medal, along with Silver and Bronze ribbons will be awarded in each Section of the exhibit.
